The terminal, and the FBOs

A small building with a handful of scheduled flights, and a great deal of private aviation around it. Which one you are on changes where we meet.

• The main terminalSmall, and open around the clock. A handful of airlines fly scheduled services from it, and the whole building is walkable in a couple of minutes.
• The FBOsThree quarters of the movements here are general aviation. If you are on a private flight, tell us the operator rather than the terminal.
• Getting inThe airport sits off the Hutchinson River Parkway near I-684 and I-287, on the Westchester side of the Connecticut line.

Worth knowing about HPN

• Small terminal, short walkThe scale is the point of this airport. Kerb to gate takes minutes, which makes it far less stressful than the big three, and makes a car waiting outside genuinely useful.
• Fairfield County tooThe Connecticut border runs along the eastern edge, so for much of Fairfield County this is the nearest airport by some way.
• Parkways will not take a vanThe Hutchinson is closed to commercial vehicles with low stone overpasses, so a Sprinter or a bus comes by I-684 or I-287 instead. It changes the route, not the price.
• Quoted like any other addressFrom Manhattan it is a long run north; from most of Westchester it is minutes. Either way the fare is confirmed before you book.
