• Terminals A-West and A-EastInternational arrivals come through A-West. Customs adds time, so we build the pickup around the landing rather than the schedule.
• Terminals B and CDomestic. The two are connected airside and the kerb runs continuously past both.
• Terminals D and EDomestic, at the far end from A. Worth naming when you book. The terminal frontage here is long.
• Terminal FRegional flights, and a separate building. Say F when you book or the car will wait at the wrong kerb.

Worth knowing about PHL

• It is a long-distance journeyNinety-five miles each way puts this in a different class from a New York airport run. The fare is agreed before you set off, and it does not change on the day.
• The Turnpike and its tollsThe route is the New Jersey Turnpike almost the whole way. Tolls are charged at cost and itemised rather than folded into the fare.
• Why people book itA flight into PHL when the New York airports are shut by weather, a connection that only works from Philadelphia, or simply preferring one car for the whole journey to a train plus two taxis.
• Allow more time than the map saysThe Turnpike is reliable until it is not. We plan a long run with a margin, because there is no recovering ninety-five miles of delay at the far end.
